I am Jennifer Brown on the director of procurement operations for Salesforce my team handles everything from supplier onboarding to supplier risk management and compliance the requisition to PO process and Supplier Diversity and sustainability.
I'm Sean Blitchok and I'm vice presidents of operations and shared services for Salesforce I'm responsible for outsourcing technology and project roadmap all of our analytics and most important of this conversation I'm responsible for Global procurement employees Jobs and 390 billion approximately in GDP around the user experience at Salesforce struggled with how to open a requisition and follow it through to the PO with our existing enterprise resource platform implementation we had manual and non-standard crossings across a variety of different regions from country to country people were opening their positions and processing them through to PO using different methods so Coupa gave us as standard system to use where I'm all of the write checks happen throughout the process and it's a global system It was Global in nature with over 4,000 users a frost we focused primarily on processes opposed to technology the very intuitive nature of the Coupa interface allowed us to really deploy the training and and do it in a in a seamless way that it was also critical for us to have heavy user involvement right from the beginning so we included all of the end users and all of the functions that had a vested interest in Coupa so whether it's Finance or sourcing or it what whoever was was going to be a primary user or using the technology itself we involve them right from the beginning that's really important for us to 40,000 employees we need some thing that's easy for people to adopt without a huge amount of training and ongoing training sessions so the intuitive nature of Coupa was really helpful Coupa allows us to pull timely reporting without having to wait for it to pull door boarding for Mari RP provides visibility to what departments are doing compared to what they've done in the prior year or years before and it allows for easy of decision-making related to Quick reporting and visibility today
